Understanding the man who's reshaping finance education in India
Harshit’s story starts in a small town called Tohana, Haryana. Like many of us, he grew up with big dreams but limited opportunities.
A bright student from the very beginning, he topped his school and always dreamed big. That dream brought him to Delhi, where he pursued his graduation from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University.
But just studying wasn’t enough - he wanted to explore, learn and grow.
So, during college, he participated in 300+ competitions, won over 100 of them (including 10+ national wins), and went on to become the Gold Medalist of Delhi University in 2020.
And if you think he was born confident - not really.
“Mujhe bhi dar lagta tha stage pe bolne se. Confidence banaya, seekha, gira, phir khada hua.”
After college, Harshit cracked KPMG in his first attempt and entered the world of finance. He worked with top firms like Citi, SG Analytics, and Evalueserve, gaining deep knowledge of the finance industry.
But something didn’t sit right. He realized there’s a huge gap between what colleges teach and what the real world demands from finance professionals.
“Jo padhaya jaa raha tha, wo kaam nahi aa raha tha. Jo kaam ka tha, wo kisi ne sikhaya hi nahi.”
Not many people know - Harshit started teaching at just 17 years old. He was one of the youngest teachers at Unacademy when it had just begun. Teaching became more than a side hustle - it became a passion. He believed: “Jitni knowledge baantoge, utni hi vo badhegi.”
He wanted to be the guide he never had. Over the years, he’s trained 2000+ students and mentored them personally across different domains in finance and careers.
His students often call him “Jeetu Bhaiya of Finance” because he is not just a mentor but everyone's elder brother.
As both a student and a working professional, Harshit kept asking one question: “Why is there no one place that teaches real, practical finance?”
So he decided to build it.
That’s how Futurus was born – a platform that’s not just a normal course provider but brings together everything students actually need: Technical Skills, Practical Knowledge, Soft Skills, LinkedIn Optimisation, Resume Building, and Personal Mentorship.
“Futurus is my baby. It’s everything I wish I had when I was starting out.”
